Whether an ergonomic assessment is completed in an industrial or office setting it serves a single primary objective: to reduce, and when possible, eliminate ergonomic risk factors that create job hazards. Ergonomic risk factors can lead to work-related musculoskeletal disorders and discomfort. While making the work place safer, ergonomic intervention also serves to improve the efficiency, productivity and comfort of the worker. With over 3000 assessments completed in both the office and industrial environments Solutions Northwest, Inc. has the experience to make a positive difference.

Office Workstation Assessments:
  • Individual office workstation assessments are completed using an effective ergonomic assessment model and a structured interview process to gather information. Individuals are provided basic ergonomic education and educational materials at the time of the assessment.
  • An objective risk factor assessment tool and a subjective symptom survey are used to measure the effectiveness of the ergonomic intervention.
  • When new equipment is recommended we either define the equipment features and you decide what to order, or we make specific equipment recommendations with specific information regarding the equipment, vendors, costs and ordering.
  • Individual typed written reports are provided outlining all findings and recommendations.
Industrial Job Assessments:

Assessments for industrial, manufacturing and other non-office type jobs are designed to determine the frequency, duration and intensity of jobs/tasks that may contribute to, or create, ergonomic risk factors.

  • Solutions Northwest applies the full weight of our experience and expert knowledge, using published and commonly used tools and, where applicable, state standards and guidelines, to specifically identify what must be addressed to minimize or eliminate existing ergonomic risk factors.
  • Solutions Northwest will lead your organization through a structured process to identify practical and realistic interventions to solve problems and reduce or eliminate the ergonomic risks through engineering, administrative and/or work practice controls.
Expert Opinion:

A Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE), who also has a background in ADA, disability, injury management, and workers’ compensation, provides expert opinion regarding ergonomic issues in the work place. This combined level of expertise provides the foundation that is needed to effectively address the complex forensic questions surrounding these matters.

Solutions Northwest applies our experience and expert knowledge, using published and commonly used tools and, where applicable, state standards and guidelines, to specifically determine whether work related ergonomic risk factors, which may contribute to the development of work-related musculoskeletal disorders, are present in the work place.

When Solutions Northwest, Inc. is called upon to formulate an expert opinion, as an attorney, you can count on:

  • The testimony being well supported by detailed research and documented facts
  • Knowing in advance, for certain, what testimony will be given
  • Being fully apprised of the merits and weaknesses of the case
  • Working with an organization experienced in working as part of a team
Experience the Difference:

An ergonomic assessment provided by Solutions Northwest gives you ALL the information you need to quickly and effectively identify, measure and address your ergonomic needs.

Solutions Northwest, Inc. does not profit from the sale of equipment and therefore, as a customer, you can rest assured that the best solution is being recommended to meet your needs within your constraints.
