Solutions Northwest, Inc. offers comprehensive personnel loss control/prevention education and training for employees, supervisors and managers. Employers can choose from our established list of course offerings or elect to have courses tailored to address their own unique needs. Below is a sampling of our most popular training and education sessions.

Basic Ergonomics

The objective of this training session is to educate workers and managers regarding ergonomic risk factors that can be present in their work environment and how to reduce these risk factors. The focus is to prevent the development of overuse syndromes and work-related musculoskeletal disorders. Training sessions are tailored to either the office or non-office environments. Approximate length: 1-2 hours.

This training was originally developed for and presented to King County's Disability Management Team. It is recommended for professionals who are working as a disability manager, ergonomist, or anyone who is involved in assessing and providing work accommodations and modifications. An overview of 15 common disorders, diseases and conditions, as well as their associated medical restrictions, ergonomic considerations and accommodation strategies for employment is provided. The training has been prepared in modules and can be customized to meet your needs. Approximate Length: Depends on the number of modules you would like. 6 hours is needed for the entire presentation.

Developing & Implementing an Ergonomics Program

This training has been developed for the Safety Professional, Safety Committee or HR person in mind. Training provides the necessary components to define, implement, assess and maintain an effective and comprehensive ergonomic program. Approximate length: 2-3 hours.

Train-the-Evaluator, (TTE) Workstation Assessments

The TTE session's objective is to teach an individual or small group on how to do an office or a non-office workstation or job assessment. Approximate length: 4-5 days.
